NEW YORK TRIP 2020
The college offers an educational trip to New York every other year. This is open to all full-time students and is a fantastic opportunity to visit one of the most exciting cities in the world, steeped in musical theatre and dance history. Whilst there, the students can select from an array of educational and sightseeing activities.
Examples of previous activities include; Alvin Ailey building tour and class at Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, Mets baseball game, performance at the Apollo Theatre, 9/11 Memorial, Staten Island ferry, classes at Broadway Dance Centre/Steps on Broadway/Peridance, Martha Graham performance, bike ride and baseball game in Central Park, The High Line, New York Library, Grand Central Station, Brooklyn Bridge, MOMA and the Guggenheim museum. Broadway shows that students have seen while they are there include; Dear Evan Hansen, Chicago, Frozen, The Color Purple, Mean Girls, Avenue Q, Kinky Boots, Waitress and Wicked. In addition students have free time to shop around New York and visit Brooklyn.
All new students starting in September 2019 will receive information on how to sign up for the trip to New York in Easter of 2020
