Miss Shirley Rees Edwards

We recently lost of one of our longest serving Ballet Mistresses, Miss Shirley Rees Edwards. Miss Shirley passed away suddenly at home in Cambridge, she was Head of Ballet for us for over 25 years both on our Theatre School and the full-time courses, She was an inspiration to many past and present students. She recently visited the college before sadly passing away a few weeks later. Her funeral will be held at St. Laurence’s Church, Cambridge and afterwards at the studios where we will gather to share fond memories of her amazing career & life. Therefore the college will be closed on Tuesday 12th November and there will be no classes.

There will be a huge presence of graduates, staff, friends, and a Bodywork choir has been arranged to pay tribute to her fabulous character and life in the world of classical Ballet.
