ABOUT GLISSON ROAD STUDIOS THEATRE SCHOOL

Glisson Road Studios is a vibrant performing arts studio in Cambridge, proudly continuing the legacy of Bodywork Company under the direction of Jane Kerr, daughter of the former owner, Theresa Kerr.

For many years, Bodywork Company was recognised as a centre of excellence for performing arts training. Today, Glisson Road Studios builds on that reputation by providing exceptional dance and theatre education for children, alongside a welcoming programme of classes for adults.

At the heart of our Theatre School is a commitment to helping every student reach their full potential in a supportive, inclusive and inspiring environment. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow in confidence, develop their creativity and discover a lifelong love of the performing arts.

Our classes are open to all genders from the age of three upwards. We keep class sizes carefully managed to ensure every student receives individual attention and high-quality teaching. Whether a child is dancing for fun, fitness or with aspirations of a professional career, we provide a pathway for every stage of their journey.

Students receive well-rounded training across a wide range of dance and theatre disciplines, developing strong technical foundations alongside performance skills, creativity and confidence. Those who demonstrate commitment and potential may be invited to join our Associates Programme, offering additional pre-professional training for students wishing to pursue further education or a career in the performing arts.

Performance is an important part of every student’s experience at Glisson Road Studios. At the end of the year, students have the opportunity to take part in productions, showcases and theatre performances, allowing them to build confidence, gain valuable stage experience and celebrate their achievements with family and friends.
